The Prophet of Doom and the IMDG code

From time to time, some people come into your life to make a deep impact.. While it is customary to write about the positive impact that some people make on your life, some times, we must also talk about people that create a misguided and negative impact in people’s life..

The below article re-posted from Shashi Kallada’s blog is about the so called “Prophet of Doom” and the misguided impact he has created in people’s lives..

People are so totally vulnerable and desperate to secure a better life for themselves that they don’t know or mind being exploited by such characters..

While the article is really about the classification and dangers of Aerosols, it can also be viewed as an eye-opener for people against blind faith..

God does not heal with UN 1950

God does not heal with UN 1950 however, South African Pastor , of the Mount Zion General Assembly (MZGA),has claimed God’s hand in use of toxic spray aerosols for healing his followers. One of the followers stated “I came here with a pain on my back and stomach. Now, after the prophet sprayed me with Doom I am healed. My nose was blocked since last week, but after the prophet sprayed me with Doom I feel coming out of my nose. I thank God for healing me.”

Do toxic aerosols cure? May be it can help cure from believing in myth and realize the effect of poisoning after the symptoms manifest.

    Hi Hariesh,
    Quite frightening isen’t it !!!!!
However lets amke this a positive and use it an an opportunity to start telling people what the IMDG is. I;m willing to bet R50 that there are people reading this who are saying Huh!!! whats an IMDG. Through your articles and trainign and teaching those involved in transport of Dangerous Goods the IMDG can/does & will save lives, foer most sea shipments beging on land and those involved in working with DG are legally required to have training. So lets get out there and train and change the minds of those are ignorant. It would be a good forum to also introduce the GHS for packaging as then people can see/read the hazards of these products.
    Cheers
    Chris
